Getting recommendation to visit this nice place in Boston's North End I've decided to get there for lunch today. Place is located in strict city center and if you know the little trick you can even park your car for 1$ for one hour! (Trick itself is well described on the restaurant webpage and I confirm it works perfectly). Restaurant itself is claiming to be the oldest American Restaurant and was established in 1826. It's located on the even older street - Union street that is dated back to 1636! (Wow! I didn't know USA exists that long!) - you can read its history on the webpage, so I don't want to copy it here. Just go to this link.
I browsed quickly the menu and decided to go for "Ye Olde Seafood platter" (that contains fried fish, clams, oysters, shrimps and calamari). It wasn't cheap - 22.95 USD for such a plate is not a local regular price, but I decided to get there, so I had to pay for luxury. If you add a beer to this and tip it quickly gets to 35$. But if you see the platter, it doesn't look amazing:
It of course tastes quite well, but is very similar to what you can get in every british restaurant in UK. Nothing special. However to kill some more free time I decided to take few pics. Enjoy.
