Kirk L-Bracket

I've just received my first L-bracket from Kirk Enterprises. And I must admit I'm thrilled with this stuff! Now altogether with my arca-swiss ballhead I can easily use my camera in vertical orientation. I don't have to be figuring how to set my camera to get the proper frame. Now it's really easy! I just switch L-bracket to vertical orientation and have the whole flexibility of setting camera! Strictly recommended photo gadget. I must also say that this arca-swiss standard is something really well chosen one. Manfrotto is also not that bad, but much worse in design and flexibility. Arca-Swiss is #1 for me and I'm happy that I switched to it. Really recommended to everyone who is still complaining on Manfrotto.
One interesting thing is that I ordered this L-bracket directly from US Kirk store and because it was below 150 EUR I avoided paying duty. Unfortunately they forced me to pay VAT :(
So I can confirm that you can order anything from US that is below 150 EUR and it's duty free!

Facebook sucks!

I've just deactivated my facebook account. It's stupid to have it. When you drink some good wine you can come to the idea to do it. Strictly recommended...
These stupid guys sent me an e-mail "You have deactivated your Facebook account. You can reactivate your account at any time by logging into Facebook using your old login email and password. You will be able to use the site like you used to." - I don't believe to activate it again at one day...what a naive system it is...

Biebrza winter weekend

This time I decided to go to Biebrza in the middle of the winter. I wanted to try photographing animals on the snow. So my friends and me arranged everything, like a house with fireplace, bought some nice food to prepare breakfasts and dinners, packed some bottles of good whiskey and other stuff. We started the trip Friday afternoon and arrived on icy roads to Goniądz about 9pm. Normally such trip takes 3 hours, but in the winter conditions it's much more risky and on the day roads were really like a rink! We spent evening drinking whiskey and browsing mobile internet. Nice. Next day in the morning we decided to photograph some mooses. The best place for these animals in winter time (100% guaranteed!) is Carska Road, so we headed that way dancing on even more slippery roads. After two hours of searching we finally noticed two mooses. But forget about photographing them. It was still dark and foggy. Even with ISO3200 and f4 lens it was like mission impossible. Unfortunately both days were like that - not a chance for good picture. We even hunted for beavers and even saw one! But no picture :(
I must say that it was another not-so-successful Biebrza trip, so I probably must quit this place and try to take pictures in the zoo or so - it's much easier. However please look at the shitty pictures below... this time you can criticize my photography with no limits! I know it's bad, but however I wanted to show you how difficult it is to take good picture of animals in the wilderness. Thus way you can really appreciate pics that you can find on the internet and are of very high quality.

Today in Warsaw we had procession of the three kings. The whole event was rather boring, but however I've taken few pictures...
