There's plenty of colorful, nice places around Hekla Volcano. It's worth visiting, but you should choose better weather and better car...

Gullfoss, Hekla Volcano and Horses
As I mentioned in one of my previous posts - it's not easy to catch good weather in Iceland. Sometimes it's raining heavy, another time it's very windy and usually it's low level of clouds. Nevertheless if you already are there, you can't resist to take pictures. Of course they're not first league, but still worth seeing just to attract others to visit this wonderful country.

Kerið Crater and Geysir
Weather in Iceland isn't perfect all the time. Sometimes you have to see its attractions in heavy rain. This was the case with Geysir - wonderful fountain of water firing every couple of minutes high above your head. Due to this pictures are poor. Even worse is the fact that AF in my EOS 5D mark III had big problems to focus in rainy weather on white water (never had such case with 1D mark III AF). I had to make few tricks to finally take the picture. So I just put these pics below to document the fact I was there, not to be proud of them... sometimes it must be like that.

Strandarkirkja
Completely by accident we came across nice church at the ocean side. In general churches in Iceland and nice and located in deserted places, but it was Sunday and some people even were wandering around. Next to the place it was small cafe with great pancakes and regular black coffee. Recommended!
