Neuschwanstein Castle Day 2

On day 2 I decided to find better spot, so did some hiking in the area with no trails. Fortunately I had proper boots and trousers so it wasn't difficult. Finally I've found reminding me this from the postcards, but still not perfect. Morning light was changing slowly, so I had some time to find the best spot. I've taken few pics from different spots, but still light wasn't perfect and I had no more time to stay in this wonderful area. For sure will be back there after castle renovation and with more days to spend on this spot. But for now you can see what I've managed to do. Enjoy.

Skaftafellsjökull

One of the amazing things in Iceland is the biggest glacier in Europe - Skaftafellsjökull. It is located in Skaftafell National Park in the eastern part of the island. Our original plan was to find ice cave but it turned out that ice caves are usually created in winter time and they're not easy accessible. In that case we decided just to hike on top of the glacier and see how dirty it is. Usually people imagine glaciers as something clearly white - this one was black - ice melted with ash gave this color.

Svartifoss

Iceland is the country when there's really difficult to find tree not planted by people. But I've found such a place. Just next to the glacier. I know it's strange but it's true. There's a path from the parking that leads you to one of the world's miracles - Svartifoss and it goes almost all the time between green trees that are higher than you. After 20-25 minutes of light hike you reach the waterfall and artificially looking rocks. It really rocks!

During my summer stay in Tatra Mountains I've decided to hike from Kasprowy Wierch to Czerwone Wierchy. During that easy walk I've taken few pics...
