My new NAS
Pictures take a lot of space. More pictures take even more. I had so many mobile hard drives that I usually don't know what to find where. Moreover I've every hard drive doubled. Recently I've started to getting lost in my storage space spread over the flat. Decided to sort it out once forever (or at least for 2-3 years). I've bought NAS array from Iomega (EMC). It appeared to be great stuff. In raid5 I've about 6TB space to allocate and I can use my old hard drives for archiving and off-site backup. It seems we have at home what few years ago we had in the office. Time flies, live changes, prices go up. This is the only direction if you want to seriously approach picture storage...think of it. Buy Iomega!

Sicilian Restaurant in Milan
Just few days after I came back from Italy, I had to get back to Milan. This time it was business reason. Weather was awful, very rainy and cold, but fortunately our Italian friends have taken us to great Sicilian restaurant in Milan. It's name was Ristorante Al Merluzzo Felice (located at Via Lazzaro Papi 6, 20135 Milano, Italy, tel. 02 5454711) and to get inside you have to book it in advance. Place is very small - max. 20 people can be there at once, because it has only 5 or 6 tables. Just typical small family place. But everything I got there was very tasty and original.
Especially the wine our buddies recommended was perfect! It was called Leone D'Almerita (label below) and came from Sicilly. Definitely recommended to get there, have dinner and this great wine!
Sorry for pictures quality, but I hadn't my camera with me, so had to use iPhone :(

Firenze
This is the last part of my trip to Italy. I had few minutes to visit Firenze and managed to take pictures of famous cathedral using my TS-E 24/3.5L. Having this lens you can try to take a picture with proper perspective of this big building. With other lens it wasn't possible... However even off season it's so many people there, that I still don't like this place...

Val d'Orcia #1
I've found paradise for photographers - Val d'Orcia, it is characterised by gentle, carefully cultivated hills occasionally broken by gullies and by picturesque towns and villages. Region extends from the hills south of Siena to Monte Amiata. Definitely recommended for every fan of landscape photography heading to Italy!

Crete Senesi
The Crete Senesi refers to an area of the Italian region of Tuscany to the south of Siena. It consists of a range of hills and woods among villages. The distinctive grey colouration of the soil gives the landscape an appearance often described as lunar - what means great place to take picture the whole year. In the spring - colors are green, in the autumn brown and gray. I was trying to find good spots just for few hours. Next time I must plan more time in this beautiful place!
