Last days of the year are good time to review what happened during the year and how the year was itself. From travel and photography perspective it was one of my best years ever! Why? Because I was lucky and had great sponsors like my former employer and found some time to realize my passion even in tough time spent hard working for their success. Fortunately they appreciated it and I had a chance to visit beautiful Costa Rica and Florida in December! Thanks guys!!!
So summarizing I had a chance to visit following places:
- Boston - boring US city (thanks to my former employer again!)
- Biebrza River (as usual)
- Mazury, Łabędziewo and Kętrzyn
- Bieszczady Mountains
- Tatra Mountains
- Hungary
- Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia
- Prague, Vienna (pleny of times, fortunately no more!) and Germany
- Scotland
- Switzerland (Axalp 2012 was again a big failure...)
- Iceland (my new love!)
- already mentioned Costa Rica!
- Key West, Miami and Everglades NP
Of course I've plans for new year - probably not in first quarter, but definitely I'll go to some part of United Kingdom, Hungary (bird watching again), maybe bears in Finland, maybe Alaska and maybe some other stuff - I haven't decided yet...
However I wish you a happy new year and good luck in new 2013!

Alicja
Last year in November I've attended photo workshop called "Warsztaty w Złodziejewie". It was run by Gregor Laubsch - famous portrait photographer. My goal was to meet the guy, talk to him, learn from him, see how workshop is organized, etc. Of course it was opportunity to take plenty of pics with 4 photomodels. Unfortunately I was successful only with one, maybe two models and finally I processed my pics and they're ready to share. Please meet Alicja - great photo model!

Vienna in the Autumn
Vienna was the most boring city in Europe for years. Until I went there in Autumn. It changed everything. And especially if you mix it with Schönbrunn Palace. This place is unique and amazing. Worth visiting even if you don't like Vienna like me...

Salzburg and Melk
This year thanks to my wonderful company I had a chance to see Salzburg and Melk. Both cities are worth seeing, but you should avoid doing it over weekends, because it's very crowded then. Please see couple of pics...

Dreamliner in Warsaw
After few years of waiting it finally happened. Dreamliner owned by LOT Polish Airlines landed in Warsaw! It was supposed to be escorted by 4 F16 fighters, but... due to bad weather they canceled F16 and it landed alone. What a joke! Weather was not good enough for F16 that should protect polish sky. I don't like people telling bullshit to me. But let's leave it and see how this new toy looks like...

Neuschwanstein Castle Day 2
On day 2 I decided to find better spot, so did some hiking in the area with no trails. Fortunately I had proper boots and trousers so it wasn't difficult. Finally I've found reminding me this from the postcards, but still not perfect. Morning light was changing slowly, so I had some time to find the best spot. I've taken few pics from different spots, but still light wasn't perfect and I had no more time to stay in this wonderful area. For sure will be back there after castle renovation and with more days to spend on this spot. But for now you can see what I've managed to do. Enjoy.

Neuschwanstein Castle Day 1
So after showing you classic shot of the castle you asked for more. I'm not very happy with my other shots, but did a lot to try a good spot to catch the castle from other perspective. However on day 1 I didn't find a spot commonly seen on postcards. Better match I found on day two although still not perfect. But for now please see shots from Day 1.
